The MJ Haboc Foundation Incorporated was established to honor the life and legacy of Marianne Joy Evangelista Haboc, a bright and talented young girl whose life was tragically cut short on October 1, 2018. At just 10 years old, Marianne Joy was a dedicated student at St. Patrick’s RC Primary School, a devoted churchgoer, and a passionate gymnast of Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club who competed nationally, earning several medals including an overall championship.

 

Marianne Joy's vibrant spirit and determination left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Her dedication to her studies, her leadership as a school officer, and her role as a church ambassador exemplified her commitment to excellence and community. She was known for her unwavering attendance at school, missing classes only when unwell, and for her aspirations to become a doctor to care for her parents and children in need, as reflected in her school writings.
